Get involved in developing new NCEA Level 2 subjects

Do you want to help shape the development of your chosen subject within the New Zealand Curriculum?

The Ministry of Education is seeking Expressions of Interest in Subject Expert Groups that will be established to develop NCEA Level 2 achievement standards and accompanying materials for new subjects in The New Zealand Curriculum, as part of the Review of Achievement Standards.

The MoE announced, on October 8, that it is looking for:

  • experienced kaiako and experts from a range of educational settings and backgrounds with special emphasis on secondary, community, industry and tertiary education
  • experienced kaiako and experts from a range of educational settings and backgrounds with proven ability to successfully design-integrate Māori values, principles, structures and practices into teaching, learning and assessment
  • experienced kaiako who can represent the rich diversity of our learners and help ensure that products are equitable and accessible for all ākonga
