NZ Schools Unite: Free AI Workshops

The curriculum refresh is underway — but most schools are figuring out AI on their own. What if you didn’t have to?

TeachAid is launching a free workshop series that brings school leaders together across Aotearoa to explore how AI is already transforming curriculum planning. And we’re looking for schools to co-host.

How it works

Your school hosts. You invite principals, deputy principals, and curriculum leads from nearby schools. TeachAid brings the presentation, the expertise — and the catering. Morning tea or lunch, on us.

These sessions aren’t sales pitches. They’re practical, collaborative workshops where school leaders explore what’s actually working with AI in New Zealand classrooms. Each session covers strategies like reducing teacher planning time by up to 80%, aligning to the refreshed NZ curriculum, building a responsible school-wide AI policy, and learning from the schools already doing this well.

They’re designed to be interactive. When principals and senior leaders sit in a room together and see what’s possible, we’ve found the conversation shifts quickly — from “should we look at AI?” to “who else needs to be in this room?”

“AI is the biggest equity move we can make in our generation.”
— Dr. Craig Hansen PhD, Aotearoa’s Leader in AI for Education

Why host a session?

Hosting positions your school as a forward-thinking leader in your local education community. You bring the people — colleagues, nearby principals, heads of department — and TeachAid brings everything else.

After each session, any school that wants to take the next step can start a completely free TeachAid pilot — no cost, no obligation. It’s a low-pressure way to see how the platform works with your school’s actual curriculum and learners.

For teachers: TeachAid is free

You don’t need to wait for your school to get on board. TeachAid is completely free for individual teachers. Generate full, curriculum-aligned units personalised to your learners — in minutes rather than hours. Teachers across Aotearoa are already saving up to 80% of their weekly planning time.
