Free lectures on AI in education
Free lectures on how artificial intelligence is shaping education will be available from the University of Auckland.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impacts on our education sector will be the central focus of the annual Gibbons Memorial Lecture Series at the University of Auckland (UoA).
The four lectures will take place each consecutive Tuesday beginning 13 May. The series will examine the applications of AI, its impacts on teaching and learning and its challenges.

Each talk is hosted by a different academic or panel, and tackles subjects such as how AI can solve educational challenges, the importance of AI literacy, ongoing AI projects and adapting computer education in the new technology landscape.
The Gibbons Memorial Lecture Series is an annual event hosted since 2008 by the School of Computer Science at UoA, in memory of Associate Professor Peter Gibbons. He was a founding member of the department of computer science.
