Hector’s World: a new digital citizenship resource for tamariki

From Term 2, teachers will have access to a new animated series designed for Years 1 to 6 outlining online safety and digital citizenship.

each eight-minute episode is designed to guide tamariki through issues of online safety and digital citizenship using engaging storylines&period; Children can follow Hector and his friends Felix&comma; by fostering a positive culture of digital technology use where challenges are understood to exist&period;” One way of doing so would be to guide learning in the digital world&comma; such as teaching tamariki about safely navigating online spaces&period;
