KidsCan Christmas Cracker appeal underway

SND21-wk2-KiidsCan crackers1With just over six weeks until Christmas, the annual KidsCan Christmas Cracker Appeal has kicked off once again and is a great way to give back this festive season.

Running until December 27, the appeal is a major fundraiser for The KidsCan Charitable Trust, with funds raised helping to provide ongoing support for thousands of disadvantaged Kiwi kids in KidsCan’s 500 partner schools throughout New Zealand.

“The Christmas Cracker Appeal is now in its ninth year and we are delighted to have such amazing nationwide retail support which will help to ensure that this year’s appeal is a success,” Jan Clark, GM Marketing & Fundraising says.

“The prizes we have up for grabs are also a great incentive for people to get behind this fantastic cause. With prizes including a trip for four to New Caledonia, a stunning diamond ring, and a Springfree Trampoline, these crackers will be a great addition to the dinner table this Christmas.”

The Christmas Crackers are available for purchase nationwide from Countdown Supermarkets, Postie Plus, Cash Converters, Kennards Hire, The Coffee Club and Citta design outlet stores, for just $2 each, or directly from www.kidscan.org.nz.

Countdown’s acting managing director Pat McEntee says they are proud to support such a great cause.

“The funds raised through this appeal will go a long way to help KidsCan continue the fantastic work they do to help Kiwi kids who need it most. I’m encouraging our customers and our team to get behind this great cause and buy these crackers this Christmas.”
