US expert to speak at NZSTA conference

SND16-wk5-NZSTA Conference-Lorraine KerrCreating a high-performing organisation with a strong and vibrant culture is one of the factors that “separates the best from the rest”.

This year’s NZSTA conference features a keynote address with pointers on this topic from Randy Pennington, a highly regarded US expert in helping leaders make the changes and build cultures they need to achieve positive results in a world of accelerating change.

Mr Pennington is a 20+-year business performance veteran, award-winning author, consultant, and commentator on leadership and building a culture that delivers results.

Every year NZSTA looks here and overseas for exciting and inspiring people to headline the NZSTA conference.

“We have had some outstanding keynote speakers over the years, and this year we’re excited to have Randy speaking,” NZSTA president, Lorraine Kerr says.

“Randy’s messages are important ones for boards of trustees to hear, and resonate strongly with NZSTA’s vision for all schools to be effectively governed by a board of trustees whose primary focus is every student achieving their highest possible educational potential.

“Every student in every classroom in New Zealand is entitled to be in a school where there is a strong and vibrant culture of pursuing the best, not the easiest and that is at the heart of Randy’s presentation,” Ms Kerr says.

A short preview of Randy’s keynote address is available from the Conference website www.nzstaconference.co.nz/.
